St. Paul’s Altar Guild is responsible for preparing, cleaning and taking care of the altar and all its furnishing for every service. The members of the Guild change all the colored hangings, fill the candles and put out all that is needed for each service. They clean and put away those items after each service and wash and iron any linen that was used during the service. That includes every Sunday service, every Tuesday service in the chapel, all weddings and funerals and any other worship service held at St. Paul’s.
The Guild is organized into four groups, one for each week. Each weekly group is responsible for the services that week starting on Saturday and ending on the following Friday. Generally a member is responsible for helping with one service a month (during their assigned week) and helping at the monthly Saturday work session and meeting. Meetings are held the third Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM.
